Havas opens a new agency in France specializing in healthcare public relations, which includes a healthcare crisis unit. Born out of a joint venture between the health network Health & You and Havas Paris, Red Havas Health Paris is under the direction of Roxane Philippe, a defector from Edelman of which she was vice president, named CEO of Red Havas Health Paris and Jeanne Bariller, promoted to deputy director of the new entity. Explanations CB News: Why this new entity? What kinds of challenges and clients does it have to respond to? Roxane Philippe – Red Havas Health Paris was born from the obvious: health has never been more essential than in 2022. Especially since these 2 years of extraordinary crisis have shaken and profoundly changed the way we work at all levels. This pandemic has even become a unique and essential terrain for corporate communication. Havas responds to the need of its clients to create a specific entity, with experts who know and understand their challenges and their ecosystem while providing them with the attacking force of the group in France and abroad. We want to offer an integrated PR offer that is more readable externally and create an internal link, on a daily basis, between the different entities of our group. And this, in a broad vision of health that includes all agents in the sector: pharmaceutical companies, health manufacturers, institutions, start-ups… Jeanne Bariller – In addition, there is the establishment of a health crisis that completes the overall offer we offer as part of this creation. The stakes are immense, the issues multiple, both in France and internationally. CB News: Specifically, how does this initiative combine the expertise of Havas Paris and Health & You? Roxane Philippe – It is a joint venture between Havas Paris and the healthcare network Havas Health & You. It is part of the group’s strategy to create a single gateway to all services covering all aspects of laboratory and healthcare enterprise communication. It’s the best of both worlds in one agency: the expert knowledge of Havas Health & You and the strike force of Havas Paris’ multiple areas of expertise. Jeanne Bariller – Our ambition is to give meaning to the causes that healthcare companies want to defend and thus help them structure their communication in a more integrated way with all their interest groups. CB News: What is the role and operation of the health crisis unit? Jeanne Bariller – Crisis communication is essential as it is unpredictable and transversal. When a crisis occurs in a company, it affects its reputation and also its communication, be it internal, external or even digital. This unit can be thought of as an “emergency button” that can be activated to respond to the challenges that healthcare companies constantly face at one point or another. Roxane Philippe – What really interested me from the beginning of this adventure was the flexibility it will bring to our structure and the general dimension of health that strengthens the cell. This offer will allow our customers and companies that wish to benefit from a complete service and thus respond at any time to sensitive communication issues in a sector permanently exposed to crisis.
