In March 2022, the adventure continues with the opening of the restaurant. Like on the streets of Thailand The aim of Anne (in the kitchen) and Franck (in the dining room) is to make you travel, which you will find in the their dishes the flavors of Thailand. Since launching the concept, the duo has been able to build a loyal clientele and tweak the menu based on feedback. “Customers who know Thailand well have already told us several times that they felt like they were there. At the moment, we say that the bet is right”, smiles Franck. And Anne to clarify: “We are not in the middle of restoration, at the base, far from it. He likes to discover flavors, meet people, share recipes (he likes to visit kitchens abroad, discover know-how). “The kitchen is so universal, it has an almost magical side! “Judges the restaurateur. “I like Thai cuisine because it’s ultra-fresh and spontaneous,” adds Anne, who makes quick recipes, ideal for eating on the spot, therefore. In her kitchen, she prepares savory dishes (coconut chicken soup , curry-based recipes, stir-fried rice and pasta, etc.), spicy, but also sweet, such as the inevitable “roti banana” dessert, a Thai custard or cookies… Videos : currently in ActuTo add a little (or a lot ) of weight on her menu, Anne regularly makes “twists” with local ingredients. “We’ve already worked with butternut, or celery. Food and wine, food and tea With the opening of the restaurant, Anne and Franck want to take you further in the experience. You are, in the room, immersed in a very special atmosphere. “All the furniture is old, you see Anna cooking and soon you can sit at the counter,” explains Franck, who has hung photos of his travels on the walls, as the icing on the cake. Soon you’ll be getting advice on food-beer pairings, food-wine and even eating yourself. For beer, the (local, of course!) brewery of choice is Le Singe Savant. For tea, it is ongoing. To close the meal, the selection of coffees was made at the Lille Muda roaster. “We really want to guide the customer in the discovery, to make him live a particular experience”, summarizes Anne, who also offers a cooking workshop every month. The restaurant opens from Wednesday to Saturday, Wednesday evening from 18 at 9 p.m. 30 and from Thursday to Saturday from 12 to 14 and from 18 to 21.30 h.*.
